Batelco to give free Wi-Fi at Seef Mall

MANAMA: Batelco, a leading digital communications solutions provider in Bahrain, has partnered with Seef Mall, a leading family shopping and entertainment destination in the kingdom, to provide free Wi-Fi services at its outlets in Seef District, Muharraq and Isa Town.

The partnership was announced at a launch event held at Seef Mall, Seef District recently, attended by officials from both organisations.

Bahrain WiFi is the first public WiFi hotspot in the kingdom and is aimed at enhancing customer experience and provide the kingdom with the latest technology.

Additionally, it aims to position Bahrain as ‘one home with Internet access’, and is currently available across a number of hotspots including shopping malls and key commercial and tourist areas.

Bahrain WiFi is up and running in all three Seef Malls and Batelco is proud of providing this service which allows visitors a seamless and hassle-free access to the Internet in an era where online connectivity has become a need. Batelco always aims to deliver innovative solutions that cater to the needs of the end-users.

Batelco chief marketing officer Abderrahmane Mounir said: “We are very pleased to have partnered with Seef Properties and successfully rolled out Bahrain WiFi across the three malls, providing the most advanced digital platform for the mall and delivering the most advanced digital platform for the mall visitors.”

Seef Properties chief executive Ahmed Yusuf said: “This service is being made available to provide our distinguished visitors with free Wi-Fi services in an era where online communication is a daily necessity. Any WiFi-enabled device will be able to connect to the Bahrain WiFi network and benefit from a limited daily free Internet access.

The group’s mobile customers will be automatically connected to the service whenever they enter the mall, it stated.

“Batelco customers will also benefit from better quality calls especially over the weekend when the three malls witness increased traffic, further providing customers with an enhanced experience,” he said
