UAE-based Tristar Group, a leading integrated liquid logistics company, has opened two new facilities in Abu Dhabi (UAE) and Oman aimed at enhancing its integrated logistics services to the downstream petroleum industry in the GCC.

The new truck staging and workshop facility at Industrial City in Abu Dhabi 2 (ICAD 2) has 50,000 sq-m of area offering tailor-made logistics service options to customers for transport, warehousing, storage and distribution services, said a company statement.

The facility is strategically located near Khalifa Port, and the main highway connecting UAE with Saudi Arabia, it said.

Tristar Group chief executive officer Eugene Mayne said: “Our new facility in Abu Dhabi reinforces our confidence in investing in the UAE economy which is expected to further strengthen with the UAE Government’s recent regulations extending visa tenure, and providing greater support to investors.”

The Oman facility is located in the Rusayl Industrial Estate which is situated 20 km from Muscat International Airport, said a statement.

The Rusayl Estate hosts a wide spectrum of companies providing consumer as well as industrial-oriented products, ranging from chemicals, electrical and building materials, fibre optic cables, food products, textiles, paints, and others, it said.

Tristar’s facility which is in Phase 2 of Rusayl Industrial Estate has a total plot of 15,000 sq m with a two-storey office building and a five-day operational workshop, with two inspection pits and a washdown bay.

Products can be stored outside or inside the warehouse. Its location gives easier access to transport fuel and supplies to the rest of Oman as it is at the edge of Muscat, with no road restriction, it added.

Mayne added: “We have been operating on leased facilities in Abu Dhabi and Oman for several years. We have decided to make further investments to consolidate our capabilities in the GCC region and the locations selected, in Abu Dhabi and Oman, are the result of proper network planning to select the best locations to support our customers’ operations and business growth strategy.” – TradeArabia News Service
