A’Saffa Foods, Oman’s largest fully integrated poultry and biggest snack food producer, recently felicitated 33 members of staff as part of its ‘Long Service Awards’ Programme.
A’Saffa Foods’ ‘Long Service Awards’ have been instituted to recognise and felicitate employees who have contributed and served the company for more than five and 10 years, said a statement from the company.
During this year’s awards ceremony, 23 employees were awarded with five years and above service awards and 10 employees were awarded for 10 years and above service. It is worth mentioning that A’Saffa Foods HR practices focus on nurturing and supporting its people to meet the company's ambitious growth plans, through a wide variety of initiatives that cover all stages in the lives of employees as they train and hone the skills of their majority Omani staff, it said.
It is noteworthy that A’Saffa Foods’ board of directors have approved an expansion plan to raise chicken meat production capacity by 100 per cent and continue in their endeavour to foster and support food security, self-sufficiency and increased employment opportunities in the sultanate. The total capital expenditure outlay of the expansion is RO45 million ($116.8 million).
A’Saffa Foods CEO Dr Nasser Zahir Nasser Al Maawali said: “Saying thank you is a very powerful tool to maintain engagement and drive within a workforce; and five and 10-year-long tenures depict the level of trust and commitment on the part of both the employee and the employer.”
