Three Omani companies led by Ithraa, Oman's inward investment export development agency, recently participated at China’s International Fishery and Seafood Expo (Fishex).
The event was held at the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou.
The participating companies included: Sea Pride, Al Bahihi Fisheries, and Oman Fisheries Company, said a statement.
Fishex provided a platform for the international fishery and seafood industries to exhibit, procure and network. It also held technical forums, it added.
Nasima Al Balushi, director general of export development, Ithraa, said: “We want Omani companies to be noticed and break into international market to increase our international presence.”
“Specialised trade shows like this offer us an excellent opportunity to present our products and meet potential importers,” she said.
“Strengthening economic ties with Chinese companies is key to our companies. And by exhibiting at this event we are able to showcase Oman’s food fishery and seafood sector and help local companies take advantage of Asia’s growing market,” she added. – TradeArabia News Service
