UK-based Intertek, a top quality solutions provider to industries worldwide, recently hosted a production and integrity assurance workshop in partnership with Daleel Petroleum, a leading oil producing company in Oman.

Daleel Petroleum is involved in exploration and production, and specialises in the appraisal and production of onshore hydrocarbon reserves.

The event, which was inaugurated by Hamish Cowell, British Ambassador in Muscat, focused on key topics related to corrosion, production chemistry, and integrity management of ageing assets, said a statement from the company.

This highly anticipated workshop provided a platform during which Intertek’s technical experts shared knowledge with the Omani oil and gas production community and offered insights on producing hydrocarbons in a safe, reliable, profitable and sustainable manner, it said.

Dr Jim Palmer, director of production and integrity assurance, Intertek, said: “With these knowledge-sharing workshops, we are empowering the Omani oil and gas workforce and supporting it with tools and expertise that will allow it to achieve best-in-class performance.”

“We offer comprehensive technical services to Omani companies to help assure a safe and productive workplace,” he said.

“This workshop was designed and delivered to discuss and share up-to-date technical knowledge, skills and tools necessary to bring operational excellence,” he added.
