Eagle Hills, a leading real estate investment and development company, has announced its entry into Oman with the signing of a Mandarin Oriental hotel in Muscat.

The property will be developed by Eagle Hills Muscat, a partnership between Eagle Hills Abu Dhabi and Izz International, and will be managed by Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group.

Set to open in 2021, Mandarin Oriental, Muscat will feature 150 guestrooms and suites, five restaurants and bars, a Spa at Mandarin Oriental and an outdoor swimming pool. A variety of banqueting and meeting spaces will also be available to accommodate social and business events, in addition to a one-of-a-kind ballroom offering spectacular views of Oman Sea.

The property will also comprise 155 Residences at Mandarin Oriental, which will feature some of the most select private apartments in the capital ranging from 75 to 260-sq-m in size. The Residences at Mandarin Oriental are being introduced for the first time in the region, representing Oman’s first high-end branded residences.

The new development will be located on the beach in a prime city location, while the low-rise architectural design inspired by the Omani cultural legacy will take full advantage of the remarkable sea views.

Low Ping, CEO of Eagle Hills, commented: “We are delighted to be venturing into the vibrant Omani market for the first time, and particularly in the capital Muscat, where we aim to provide both residents and tourists with new levels of sophistication and service in partnership with the prestigious Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group. Muscat is a beautiful destination that is steeped in heritage and we are honoured to have the opportunity to be part of the city’s future.”

James Riley, group chief executive of Mandarin Oriental, added: “Muscat is an entrancing destination with character, charm and an abundance of visitor attractions. We are delighted to have the opportunity to expand our brand presence on the Arabian Peninsula with this exciting project in partnership with Eagle Hills. We look forward to bringing Mandarin Oriental’s legendary service standards to Muscat.”

Mandarin Oriental, Muscat will be a 20- minute drive from the airport and will be based in a prestigious and central district with a mix of retail and leisure facilities, including the nearby Royal Opera House, the Grand Mosque and Muttrah, the city’s traditional souk. - TradeArabia News Service
